25th Annual Deep Creek Dunk 2024

What Is The Deep Creek Dunk? 

The Deep Creek Dunk is a favorite winter event that draws big crowds to the area each year. Started in 1998, with the support of the Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police, to benefit the Special Olympics of Maryland (SOMD). Individuals and teams commit to "dunking" in the icy lake water and raise funds for SOMD during the months prior. The day of the event takes on a festive atmosphere with music and a costume contest keeping everyone entertained throughout the day! In addition to the dunk, this is a great weekend to enjoy activities at Wisp Resort. You can ski, snow tube, snowboard, ride the mountain coaster and much more! Experience all the fun of a winter weekend at Deep Creek Lake while you support a worthy cause.

When Is The Deep Creek Dunk?

The 2024 Deep Creek dunk is on February 24th at Uno Chicago Grill and The Honi-Honi Bar. Taylor-Made is a proud annual sponsor of the festivities that benefit Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD).

Deep Creek Dunk 2024 Weekend Schedule

Friday, February 23

Goosebumps, Grapes & Growlers - Head to the Honi-Honi from 6-9pm for an evening of fire and wine. The admission goes to the Special Olympics. Taste a variety of wine and beer from the comfort of the heated tent.

Saturday, February 24

Deep Creek Dunk: Freezin’ for a Reason – The fun starts around 11:00 AM, and it is good to get there early to enjoy the wild costumes and DJ. Dunking begins at 2 and goes until the last dunker takes a dip!
