Explore the Lake in a Kayak

Take a hike!

During the summer, Swallow Falls State Park has a hiking trail that’s available to dogs and their human friends outside of the day-use area. Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, pets can access all of the trails in this popular park.

Right next door to Swallow Falls, is Herrington Manor State Park. During peak season, pets are not permitted in the day use area, but there is still lots of terrain and trails to explore.

The HART for Animals facility is close to the lake and offers veterinary care along with grooming and boarding services should you need this during your stay. Plus, there is a fenced dog park right next door!
